Commencement

G.R.T.M. Vivekananda Vidyalaya, the Seventh Unit of Vivekananda Educational Society, celebrating its silver jubilee year with the blessings of the almighty is known by the people of our locality for its services to the low, backward and middle class population imparting Man making and Non-profiteering service in Manali New Town.

Our Vidyalaya had its humble beginning in 21.06.1986 with classes upto II std, 7 teachers and 165 students. Shri. Kamalatmananda, Swamiji of R.K. Mutt and Jusitce Shri. Krishnaswami Reddiar, Former President of VES declared open the school. It has now blossomed up to higher secondary level with student strength of 1084 and dedicated and tireless staff strength of 40. Shri. G. Rajendran, Proprietor and eminent Jeweler of G.R. Thangamaligai, T. Nagar was the Chief donor who mobilized funds liberally in the year 1988 with which a new building has come up in 1991.

A milestone in the development path of our Vidyalaya was laid Shri. Harri Mohinani with the construction of a new building in the name of his daughter Selvi. Sasha Mohinani as Sasha Mohinani Vivekananda Vidyalaya.

The school has a unique feature of possessing 63 grounds with ideal classrooms, well furnished laboratories and a library.

Children’s Park Inauguration

 Children’s Park was erected in our Sasha Mohinani Primary Block.  The Donors of the building Shri. Harry Mohinani and his daughter Kumari Sasha Mohinani and the members of the Round Table 30,  Shri. L. Ramamoorthy, Joint Secretary VES were present for the inaugural ceremony.  Tiny Tots presented entertaining programmes and delighted the guests.
