Independence Day

“Freedom in the Mind.

Faith in the words.

Pride in our souls.”

76th Independence day of our nation was celebrated in our school with patriotic fervor.  Shri. Jayasuriya, Alumnus of our Vidyalaya was the Guest of Honour. Dr. S. Ponpandian, Principal welcomed the gathering.  Hon.Correspondent Shri V. Pravin Garg  hoisted the Tri Colour National Flag accompanied by Assistant Correspondent Shri S. Madhavan jee, Academic Coordinator Smt. Sailakshmijee and SMDC member Shri. Parthiban jee and Shri.Muthu jee . Students presented a vibrant  March Past. The chief guest offered flowers to the Bharath Matha and Shri. Aurobindo. The significance of Independence day was presented by Selvi. R. Nithisri of XI std. He quoted the struggles and sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. A patriotic  skit was performed on the unsung hero named ‘Jhalkari’.  A fantabulous dance performance was presented by the girls. Shri. V. Pravin Garg, Hon. Correspondent jee in his keynote address insisted the students to get connected with our motherland through our deeds. He encouraged the students suggested to bring name and fame to our nation. Shri G.JayaSurya, alumnus of our Vidyalaya motivated the students to foster self confidence and self motivation in each and every students,never compare yourself with others as you are unique. The winners of the Kabaddi team at the Kshethra and Pranth levels were honoured for their achievement and are now progressing to the national level .The programme concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Vice –Principal Smt.G. Priya and  theprogramme ended with Vandhe Matharam.

A quiz programme was organized for the Teachers. Shri. Lakshminarayanan jee conducted Quiz . Questions on Freedom struggle, Nation and culture were posed to the 5 teams of teachers with 3 members each. The winners of I, II & III place were awarded with prizes. Shri. S. Madhavan jee, Hon. Asst. Correspondent of the vidyalaya was present for the programme.
