75th Independence day of our nation was celebrated in our school with patriotic fervor. The programme commenced with invocation to the Almighty. Smt. AN.Thirunellai, Asst. Professor of S.C.P. Jain college, Minjur, Alumna of our Vidyalaya was the Guest of Honour. Dr. S. Ponpandian, Principal welcomed the gathering. Shri. S. Madhavan, Asst. Correspondent, hoisted the Tri-colour flag. The pledge and the flag song were sung with great passion. Floral offerings were rendered to the portrait of Bharath Matha with devotion. Shri. Muthu jee and Shri. Parthiban jee ,Well wishers of our Vidyalaya joined in the patriotic salute of our nation.

B. Kanishka of XII B gave a vivacious speech on the significance of the day. She admired the service of the great unsung leader Rani Laxmi Bai of our Bharat and her priceless contribution for her nation. An appealing dance performance of our students was a feast to the eyes of the audiences. Students presented a vibrant skit about the life of a great unsung leader Rani Abbakka Chowda in alluring manner. They expressed their exceptional talents by organizing the skit in a grand manner.

A grand exhibition on the life portrait of the unsung leaders were displayed in the school premises. 75 students of our Vidyalaya disguised themselves as the great leaders and expressed their patriotism towards the country. This was appreciated by the audience.

In connection with the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, we have conducted various competitions to our students from LKG to XII std like Poster making, Speech, Character depiction, Skit, etc.,. The deserving students were awarded prizes during the Independence day celebrations by the Chief guest and dignitaries on the dias.

Smt. AN.Thirunellai, Asst. Professor of S.C.P. Jain college, Minjur, Alumna of the Vidyalaya in her Presidential address shared her experience as a student . She also expressed that she got infinite love and lessons from her teachers . Her teacher taught, hard work is the way to success. The school has moulded her personality and clarified her vision of the future. She expressed her gratitude to the institution for providing guidelines and motivated her to achieve goal. She proudly felt that this is the only institution which inculcated moral ethics and culture in student’s life. She has generous contributed Rs. 5000/- towards the school development.

Shri. S Madhavan, Asst. Correspondent, in his key note address expressed about all the involvement, and sacrifices of all those unsung leaders who fought for the independence of our nation. He insisted everyone to be loyal to the nation and work hard for the development of our Bharath. Smt. N. Sailakshmi, Vice Principal proposed vote of thanks and expressed her gratitude for the success of the celebration. The programme concluded with Vande Matharam. Jai Hind! Vande Mataram.
